For those one snapshot on linux and have problems HTML5 video crashing.
You need to update libffmpeg.so file.

      1. wget http://repo.herecura.eu/herecura/x86_64/vivaldi-snapshot-ffmpeg-codecs-48.0.2564.71-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz is the one for latest chromium.

      2. tar xf vivaldi-snapshot-ffmpeg-codecs-48.0.2564.71-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz –strip 2

      3. sudo install libffmpeg.so /opt/vivaldi-snapshot/libffmpeg.so

Could you add gestures and custom function?
Drag and drop function when there?

Did not add new functionality, disappointed!

            Win7 64 Bit, 8 Gig, 32 bit Viv

Wow if this HOLDS I'm really impressed! Had FF loaded also and Ram free memory seemed stable at 80 Meg free that was 30 meg more ( with same pages loaded on both) than last build alone!

The REAL surprise is this build with FF killed. I have 900 Meg running it same as last build setup and NOT erasing cache yet, which is 850 Meg more and so far seems stable.

I don't know what you did but whatever please don't go back I can ALMOST use Viv now. If I lose free memory in next build hopefully you can track regression down.
I am about through with this post and down to 580 Meg but seems stable…very slowly going down.

Addendum: FYI: http://imgur.com/xhZptmU snip of memory plus MS Taskmaster...
also for some reason I was logged off on blog when I came back fairly quickly, probably timer. Luckly I had time left to edit. Turned on flash and things have changed down to 40 meg now. Streaming Flash EATS memory up!

Thanks guys maybe we are on the right track this was the biggest change for me in a LONG time.

Hey guys, i love your Browser! There is only three issues that are a big deal for me:
              1. You can't open bookmarks in folders (in the bookmarks bar) with the middle mouse button and if you click right to look for an other "open in new tab" function, it opens in the current tab.

              2. Tabs are closed with the middle mouse button, when you press it - not when you release it. I don't know why, but for me this feels wrong.

              3. Edit: Also it would be nice if you could see the pages full name when howering over the Tab.

keep up the awesome work. This Browser is the future!

                @miguel.frognier:

when I create a new folder, I'm moved back to the start of my bookmarks list, instead of remaining where the folder is

same behaviour with new bookmarks, if you drag'n'drop the url from adressbar

                  Great work team Vivaldi!

Would be very nice to be able to drag speed dials inside folders. To make collections as such.

Hopefully the Linux middle click paste + close tab on middle click bug gets also fixed.

Request has been added. BTW, did you know that you can open a bookmarks folder? That will open all bookmarks in the folder.

                      Cheers,

Browser immediately crashes on any attempt at startup on my Mac. Have tried cleaning out settings and caches and anything else I could find; no change. 😞

Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle! Nice turnaround time! 😃

That arrow-cursor bug in the Sidebar item text fields is still here. After the first start of Vivaldi after an update or reinstallation, the arrow keys work correctly and will allow me to move the cursor up/down to Edit text in Bookmarks and Note.

After another restart – sometimes one, sometimes two, maybe three restarts -- the arrow keys stop working except for right/left arrow and that's it until a reinstall or Snapshot update, they won't move the cursor up/down the text fields any more.

Good, good! Get those damn bugs!

Flash player issues remain the same for me, though.

But this time around, auto update made its job perfectly fine! Yay!

Thank you for all the bug fixes! I especially love the bookmark sort fix (the sort option is permanent now) from the last snapshot.

It seems like tab cycle doesn't show the page in the correct order when it comes to tab stacks although I am setting the tab cycle order to "cycle in the order of the tabs" (sorry, I was unable to determine how it happens, or in what order it is showing the tabs. I just know that not all the tabs in a tab stack are shown at the same time).

It would also be nice if the "trash" folder in the bookmark comes to the bottom regardless of the sort order (to "sort by title," for example). It is a bit weird to see the trash folder right in the middle of other bookmark folders.

When I access google map, the entire history is filled with URLs of the google map (since google map has different URLs for different geographical locations, vivaldi recognizes each as an individual URL and counts it). It might be nice to have an option to have a "history stack," or a system to store all consecutive URLs from the same website as 1 entry (and a user can choose to click on that stack to view all URLs from that website).

Regarding History, it would be nice to see a feature to open all selected URLs. Since we already have the checkbox, we might as well utilize that to select the URL we want to open, and have a button to open all selected URLs at once.

I already mentioned this a while ago, but it might be a good idea to have an option to open typed URLs/bookmarks/searches in a new tab (without having to press a button), just like former opera.

Sometimes, I feel the need to open multiple instances of vivaldi. However, since vivaldi can only save the tabs from one of the two windows, the list of tabs from the other window is basically lost. It would be nice to see so-called "session" feature to have vivaldi automatically save the list of tabs in each window. That way, when we use and close two (or more) windows, the user can recover both windows from the session feature.

I thing what I really miss, in all browsers, is a bookmark-menu-button, drag&drop capable like the sidebar but as a menu on a button.

Does anybody know, if its possible, to attach the developer tools (like the opera dragonfly) to the window? (like that its fixed in the bottom) for now, its an own instance running in an own window, so the page wont scale itself.

See, around September-October, even November, I thought it would be at least February or something like that when the stable would be out, because things were looking great and there didn't seem to be that many things left needed to fix. But it's looking like things came up more and more and it'll probably be a bit later, which is okay because I'd like it if they made the browser as stable as possible for it's first version. But I'm guessing it shouldn't be that much longer. It should still come around early Q1 of this year.
