@Ayespy I've got a Raspberry Pi with Pi-hole installed that filters adds out of my network. On my work laptop I've got McAffee and can't get rid of it...

EDIT: I already use Pi-Hole since years without any problems with Vivaldi and also McAfee was preinstalled on this device since a year now and my problems came after Snapshot 3329.7.

@oudstand, yes, also in my Windows, when I bought the new laptop, it came pre-installed with McAffee, it was the first crap which I uninstalled.

I don't think Pi-Hole is the problem (I use Portmaster), but McAffee, which is more of a virus than a valid AV, is also absolutely unnecessary in current Windows.

A company that uses hijacker practices as bundleware in certain software installations is not a trustworthy company.

If you can't get rid of it, it shows this behavior. I recommend trying it by doing a scan with Panda Cloud Cleaner (it's free, EU product, it don't stay resident in memory after the scan and cleaning like MalwareBytes do)

@Catweazle the problem with McAfee is, that it was installed by our system administrator with drive encryption and can only be removed when you reinstall Windows from scratch... I don't know who came to this idea, but they also don't install it anymore. Therefore I've to reinstall Windows and setup everything again or have to live with it.

@oudstand, well, this is a problem, McAffee is a plague and a sys admin which use it in Windows too. Try with the Vivaldi troubleshooting steps, maybe it can help.

@Catweazle our system admins also noticed that McAfee is dirt and don't use it anymore. Sadly I was one of the first who got a new laptop and are punished with McAfee..

@slavau: I can confirm, unable to print. I get "Print preview failed" in the dialog, can't switch printer drivers, all grayed out. The only option is "Cancel" button. Installed and portable setups. Printing is broken in everything for me. On Windows that is, latest updates. No antivirus installed, all extensions disabled, as stated both installed and portable setup. Any other browser (Firefox, Waterfox, Chrome, ungoogled chromium, Edge, Arc), all of them print just fine. Vivaldi at fault.
And after some testing, running with "--disable-features=PrintCompositorLPAC" solves the problem.
