Tab renaming – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3392.10

@Pathduck That is not the same though. Many interactive pages will update the title later and it will be gone.
-
Hmm… I now see that tab stack renaming via QC is now broken by this. The tab is renamed instead of the stack

A way to do this if your KB has a 'menu/context' key is use F6 to focus the tab and use the menu key. This should pop up the context menu allowing a rename.
OK, that works but with context menu that are more keystrokes than i like to have (ok, the german context has underscored U, so that are 3 keystrokes)

Is tab renaming permanent?
-
@barbudo2005 No, it depends.

@Thot Read @Ruarí's comment again, he was saying that the bookmarklet @Pathduck uses does not permanently rename tabs.
@barbudo2005 The tab renaming introduced in this snapshot, however, is permanent.

I'm so happy for [Tabs][Cycler] List stays up after releasing Ctrl+Tab quickly with many tabs (VB-107288)!
Tab rename is a gimmick I will use rarely, I guess… -
@doctorg: As always!

Unable to hide extensions
Confirmed on Windows 11 Insider beta 22635.3785.
On a clean profile it won't show the Hide Extensions button and also extensions cannot be hidden . Odd enough the Hide Extensions button does show present when editing the toolbar.

Does anybody know what [Blocker] Add uBlock option aliases support (VB-107194) points to and could explain it?
-
@EricJH I think it's a bug。

New blocker list settings
Though I have to say, I'm not really sure which lists can take advantage of these new options. Also, why allow us to choose "Edit List" if shortly afterwards we are told to "disable the source list before editing"
Why not just do the disabling & re-enabling for us automatically if we do edit a source list that is currently being used; after all, there are save & cancel buttons here.

logically while renaming a tab, I am typing, so, I expect normal operations of mouse should apply like :
- double click should select the word; and
- moving mouse over words should select the words that I move mouse over.
alas I cant do that now. currently it perform default tab functions vivaldi performs via mouse :
like double click to close tab and drag a tab.Solution : disable normal browser tab options involving mouse, which might interfere with normal text behavior while renaming is in progress.

P.S. someone please update the tracker with the idea solution. otherwise, it might gets delayed in case no solution comes to mind.
