@Catweazle I am fine with youtubers being able to pay their bills. The reason why sponsor segments are necessary is because the ad revenue that comes directly from youtube is so low that you don't have to feel bad about using an adblocker. Besides, the ads I have seen when I am forced to watch ads ranged from scams, to pornographic mobile games and the occasional dating site.

@JoeBecomeTheSun, that is the reason because to use adblockers. It's fine when authors itself promote articles from sponsors, but not that YT put scam and pornographic ads in middle of an concert and also not to put targeted ads, because YT selled your browsing datas to thitd party advertisers.. It is this abuse the reason to use adblockers, not because we don't want that creators gain money, but because the own self protection.
If Yt only use an banner related to the conten under the Video, in the main page or some promotion videos from reliable products, an adblocker isn't needed, this can be tolerated, but not the other crap.
If an author in the video say that he thanks to his promotors and present an product from these, or in an concrt video they put the names of the promotors, or maybe an banner at the bottom edge of the video, nothing against it, but interrupting a concert with 1 or even two advertorials, it's a no go, it only pisses people off and destroys the author's work. -
