Hiking, and the dangers
-
Had to post this, hikers meet moose on trail:
And watch the backgound, hikers coming from both directions.
-
@greybeard Sheesh, that's a big moose! It seemed completely chill though.
I've met moose a couple times in the woods around Oslo but far enough away I could stand and watch for a while. The danger is when you run into them like that and surprise them.
The only experience I have with Canadian moose is Space Moose but I can't post any of that here for obvious reasons
-
@greybeard Wow. It was cool to see the moose in the video just chilling regardless of human presence. Some years ago I worked at a hotel in Montana, close to the border with Canada, and encountered moose a few times. I remember seeing a mum with her calves, and the calves were big enough to scare any tourist off.

@Pathduck Probably a busy enough hiking path that Moose are accustomed to hikers as long as they don't get too close.

Hiking can always be dangerous in some countries, not only because Mooses

If I was taking people on the tour I would have told them all to switch their damned camera sounds off
-
@Dr-Flay I agree totally.
The last time I was camera shopping I found most cameras did have an option to do that buried somewhere in the menu structure.
My Sony has it right up there but my old Canon has no such option.
Also though I am not familiar with mobile phone cameras, the old Samsung I have has no option for that function.
