Thank you! Yes and only 2 days ago. Not that I really doubted that, but now I am definitely not the only one anymore!
In my search for a solution I came across several complaints about white pages and pages loading but not showing, also in the review section of Google Playstore / Chrome browser by the way. Lot's of other complaints too, so it is maybe not exactly the same issue, but quite enough that could be the same. Most I found online is from longer ago, but in the Playstore an increasing number of reviews with only 1 or 2 stars. Considering I can only see the reviews in my own language there are probably a lot more complaints than I am able / allowed to see.

I don't know, but maybe the WebView version is somehow related?
Recently found an App called Hidden Settings for MIUI has access to the WebView and I've started to play with its Flags.
That app has equivalents for Android itself, I would either search about WebView and Android or try to find an App to access it and Toggle its GPU Flags.
Don't know whether will do anything or not, IIRC, this os for other Apps not Vivaldi's but

Thnx!
Played a little with it and when I enable the first flag 'highlight-all-webviews' the Gmail app gives yellow emails but the browsers don't. So it probably doesn't work there. Just to be sure, I tested all the gpu related flags with Vivaldi snapshot, but that didn't solve anything.
I may have some good news too. I installed Chrome beta version 123.0.6312.3 and the issue is apparently solved in that one. It displays websites as it should and I can go to the settings and back without the app freezing. I compared the gpu related flags of Chrome beta with Vivaldi 6.1 and as far as they are overlapping the settings are the same. Chrome beta has some extra flags though that are not in the older version of Vivaldi. Considering the date of this Chrome beta version, February 21, I tend to think they are well aware of this major bug and found a way to solve it.
How long do you think it will take for Vivaldi snapshot to get there too?

Guess I have to be patient anyway. Do you think it would speed up things a little bit if I report this bug in the bugreport section?

@Vlinder
Hi, I guess no, Vivaldi 6.6 with Chromium 122 is not even published.
After the release the internal daily builds are updated to 124, then it need some time for stabilization, then the first snapshot get public.
Therefor it need 2-3 weeks after 6.6 stable before the snapshot 6.7 with Chromium 124 is ready.Cheers, mib

Well, it is what it is then, I 'll have to be patient, at least a month or 2, I guess, and probably a while longer for the stable version. We 'll see...
Fortunately there are a view working alternatives I can use in the meantime, including a Vivaldi 6.2 version. That is the latest build I found working on my tablet. I 'll have to be very careful not to accidentally update it.
Thank you both @mib2berlin and @Zalex108 for all your help! I 've learned quite a lot and enjoyed our conversation very much!
Maybe, if this topic stays open and I remember to do so, I 'll lett you know when everything is working again...

@Vlinder

Good news!
Today my tablet received a new Android update and all chromiums are working again now. No more blank pages!
Minor bugfixes according to the release note... Well if they consider not being able to use several browsers a minor bug, I 'm wondering what qualifies for 'major'... ๐ซฃ
Thank you all and have a nice day!

Re: Chromium's unusable after Android 13 update
I see you got your fix a month ago. My new tablet is running Android 13 with last update Jan 1, 2024 and says no newer update available. Was your last update after Jan 1st?
I'm having the same problem with Chrome and Brave. It's properly redirecting (tried HuffingtonPost.com and it redirected to HuffPost.com) Weird thing is Brave shows a "Preview" of WIkipedia's home page and the Google app shows Discover pages below the search bar as does Chrome when I relogged in as a Guest, but despite the thumbnails and headlines loading on these previews, clicking any of them correctly goes to the URL but then the page won't load. (Google app has option to open a browser so the app's own browser isn't working either.) I've cleared out all the data and cache and uninstalled and re-installed Brave and not fixed before or after Brave's update. But like you if I uninstall all Chrome Updates, Chrome, Brave, and Google app all start working again...
Not sure how to force one a newer Chromium or Security Update since my device doesn't believe they exists....
