Small Chromium bump [déjà vu] – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3256.4

@mossman well, the biggest advantage of tabs on top is that in maximized window it's a lot easier to manage tabs: close, reorder etc. Because tabs are at the edge of the screen.
-
After a little troubleshooting (Win10 x64):
- launching from explorer with
Run as Administrator
doesn't generate any crash; - launching from taskbar, the message appear, even
Run as Administrator
is ticked; - no crashlog found, only
C:\Program Files\Vivaldi\Application\debug.log
containing:

@Gif2D This log looks like broken installation data.
Accessing C:\Program Files (x86)\ is unusual for a 64bit install, and the crash dump files do not reside below the program folder.
It should read more like
[0125/154555.967:ERROR:filesystem_win.cc(128)] GetFileAttributes C:\Users\MEOMY\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Crashpad\attachments\6f0e52ee-91bb-4f58-a220-b40bac191217: Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden. (0x2)Try to uninstall all Snapshot versions you have.
-
@Gif2D I guess you have not all user rights to start/access file system with regular user who starts Vivaldi.
But i can not tell mroe as i install all my testing browsers as Standalone on my drive P:.
I never install for all users, only a each user install which resides in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Vivaldi. -
if "Experimental Web Platform faetures" is included in vivaldi://flags, then the browser highlighted in the address bar is not visible
PS. I apologize if it is not clear, I write through a translator
-
@qsedftghk Yes, if chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features is set to Enabled, you can not mark URL in address field by doubleclick.
A regression, worked in 6.5.3206.59
Reported to bug tracker as
VB-103845 "[regression] Flag Enable Experimental Web Platform Features breaks selection of address field" - Confirmed -
@qsedftghk Thanks for telling us.
