Unsolved Is mobile data used if YouTube website plays video with the screen turned off?

Is mobile data downloaded when a YouTube video is played with the screen turned off (sound only) using YouTube website?
I mean if the smartphone screen is turned off, only sound data is downloaded or sound + video + others? -
Hi,
AFAIK is downloaded as well, no mater the screen ON/OFF.You can use YMusic.io for that.

This YMusic.io doesn't even play video, just sound.
Does anyone know some app that don't use mobile data for video when the screen is off?
I tried to use Youtube Revanced, but I can't even install it because of my android 7. -
YMusic plays both.
You have to set up the default preferences. -
How to do this? I have "Play video by default" enabled and it display only some cover picture.

You will need to Force Stop the App and relaunch.
Just tested and works as expected.Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro | A10 MIUI 12.5 | Xiaomi EU

I give up, it doesn't work even after force stop/clearing app data/reinstalling.
-
Then would be related to your Android version

Revanced dev made version for android 6 and 7 after I contacted him and it works.

There are some mobile data saving features, not exactly what I wanted, but maybe he will make the function I want. -
unless the data (music/video/etc.) is already saved in your device, AND the program you are using to play it has DIRECT ACCESS to it, YES, bits of your data plan are DEFINITELY used… ANY and ALL internet access, whether you start it or not, IS using your data plan…
