Too fast typing adressbar?

@mib2berlin Ha! I'm not sure where that number came from?
Apologies if I've been spammy somehow (I did reply on another thread as well) - also getting an odd disconnection error on the forum pages, but seems OK now! -

Hiho!
I can confirm that for me, the issue is gone in the latest release (Windows).
-
Still occurring for me unfortunately. If I type something I want to search for too quickly in the address bar it'll cut off the end of it.
It seems if I disable stuff like bookmarks and browser history in the drop-down priority options it fixes it, but I don't want those options disabled. It appears if the browser doesn't "finish" searching in these areas before you hit enter, it'll cut off text to send to the search engine.

Happening to me, still, also.

When i disable Browser History in Dropdown menu priority - problem disappear. Clear History also helps.

Hi! This issue is also happening to me - it's very disruptive. 50-70% of Google searches I make are incorrect due to this bug.
I found this: https://vivaldi.com/blog/desktop/small-chromium-bump-deja-vu-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-3256-4/ It claims to have fixed VB-103404. However I'm on a newer stable version and still have this issue.

Finally stuck to my thought long enough to also research this issue as it has also been happening to me for a few days and every time I practically immediately forget what i was trying to do once I find the page I was looking for. I am indeed but a goldfish in a human flesh bowl. Woe me. (A bit reluctant to play around with hardware acceleration since I had to turn it off then on for a few months each for seemingly unrelated issues that I could never explain but only fix with this)

This has been happening to me for the last several updates. Disabling browser history from the address bar settings under "drop down menu priority" fixes it but obviously disables a pretty important feature.
Text buffer shouldn't be functioning this way

I was experiencing the same issue but I just updated to the latest stable and so far it seems to be fixed.

I just updated to the latest, turned Bookmarks back on and it is still happening to me (https://i.imgur.com/G1FXIFc.png).

@octragon Did you only turn off Browser History or something else as well? Because I had to turn off Browser History due to lags months ago and this issue is still occuring for me...
Edit: Turning off Typed History did it for me but now Im supposed to obstain from using ANY sort of history for my stupid browser to work??? Im getting REALLY frustrated...
Edit Nr. 2: Just to confirm, BOTH Browser History AND Typed History SEPARATELY cause the cut-off searches and BOTH have to be turned off for it to work properly...
Edit Nr. 3: Even Frequently Visited Pages causes it...

@buesra24
Hi, this should be fixed in the latest snapshot (Beta) version 6.7.
I don't know if this will be backported to 6.6 but I hope so for the long term history user.Cheers, mib

@buesra24 for me it is sufficient to disable only browser history (all others enabled). I did a little more testing and if I have even just browser history & search/goto enabled it has the issue.
However if I have everything enabled except search/goto and google search by typing nonmatching history queries into the address bar it doesn't seem to have the issue so I guess it's a result of having search/goto enabled with (too much) history matching.
