Grabbing media is not something I would recommend as it violates the Terms of Service in most cases. I know nobody ever reads the TOS, but this is what YouTube Terms of Service says:

C you agree not to access Content through any technology or means other than the video playback pages of the Website itself, the YouTube Player, or such other means as YouTube may explicitly designate for this purpose;

The idea is that content providers get paid when users view their videos on YouTube, but not if they are viewed offline or shared with others. No doubt other service providers like Vimeo have similar Terms.

I am sure a media grabber could be added, but why do you need this?

Just use jdownloader.

All you have to do to download a video (or any other file) is to copy the link of the hosting webpage.

No need to paste, no need to integrate anything inside the browser. It just works.
