A Few Simple Things I Hope to See Soon

Of course, there's no way for users to tell if these are easy to fix or not, but I hope they will make it into the next snapshot. [ol] [li]Go to start/end commands for Mouse Gestures: Home/End keys work, but I want to use the mouse[/li] [li]Hide delete button on speed dial thumbs, and show it on the context menu instead[/li] [li]Reduce the height of the navigation bar in Speed Dial and theme it properly[/li] [li]Allow more columns of speed dials for wide screens[/li] [li]Move the Show/Hide panel toggle to the right if the panels are on the right (and fix the tooltip)[/li] [li]Enable mouse-wheel scroll on the zoom slider[/li] [li]Extend zoom range to 500% for Ctrl + scrollwheel[/li] [li]Remember last used tab on settings[/li] [li]Remember size of settings dialogue[/li] [li]Find Next (F3) without showing the Find Toolbar (unless search string is empty), and option to place the toolbar at the bottom[/li] [/ol] Attachments: ,

I see that Opera 38 has recently been released, and has this popup menu when what used to be a Speed Dial Thumbnail delete button is clicked. I would prefer no button, as nearly everyone knows how to use context menus.

Two weeks have gone by since the last Snapshot was released. so I guess the developers must be working on something fairly major. I wonder what it will be?
I see some posts in the blogs and forums getting too insistent that xyz must be done asap, or others insulting the developers for being negligent. That is not the way to encourage people to pay attention to you. If someone sends me a polite bug report about my fonts (font editing is just something I do as a hobby and for my own publications, not a business), I usually fix it at once. Otherwise, I improve what I can when I have time or whenever I feel inclined to do some font editing.

Did you see the post from Ayespy on the "Private Investigator" blog?
What we do know is that the team has converged at the Magnolia Innovation House in Gloucester, Massachusetts, USA for a burst of cooperative work and a bunch of outside activities. Usually this results in a delay in the release of the next snapshot, but often that next one or the one after contain the fruit of that putting-their-heads-together-in -person, which can be kind of interesting!

No. I didn't see that post.

Sorry, meant to say it is on the Vivaldi Blogs - introducing Ayespy since he is a mod now.

One more thing that often causes a minor inconvenience is that the Windows taskbar (on autohide at the left) fails to appear when using Vivaldi. It may be triggered by using fullscreen mode — I am not sure what else — but it's a long-standing and often reported bug.

Yeah. Not really introducing me, so much as telling the story of why I happen to think Vivaldi is the Bee's knees.
