Does NSA still use XMPP? Or they have upgraded to Matrix?

Hey people, I'm kinda curious about this topic. I tried to find some articles, but couldn't find many.

@TechnoMechanicus
Of course, I don't know what the NSA uses.But 'Jabber/XMPP' with its own server is already quite secure.
Maybe one of the other good, open source Messenge [Matrix], 'SimpleX' or 'Briar'.
There are active rooms for all of them on [Matrix].

@ingolftopf Haha I'm actually quite curious because, it was reported by many news outlets back then (2013 - PRISM) on this topic. So when I search for the same in 2023, there is almost none about NSA and their communications medium.
Possibly, there's a room for everything. But I feel like, due to rapid growth of technology over a decade, they have become more cautious and might have developed their own protocols (maybe something similar to xmpp/matrix). Worst case, rest of the open source "secure" communications that we think of is monitored somehow.
I know there's a lot of conspiracy in here! :p
