Neither import passwords from Firefox options work
-
I have tried to import my passwords from Firefox using both the import option under File and the option using a CSV outlined here: https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tools/import-and-export-browser-data/#Import_Passwords
Neither are working properly--the first doesn't even show an option for passwords, and in the second there are "no matching experiments" for #password-import. See attached image.
!
Please help!

@AKendall Hello and Welcome to the Vivaldi Community
Looks like import from FF is broken yet again ...
(or it's never been fixed, it's not often I check this...)It's strange you say you don't see the option for passwords, is it not there?
Does it detect the correct FF profile path?
Import from a CSV works though. You export a CSV file from Firefox's
about:logins
page. It's not strictly the right format for Chromium passwords import but seems to work. The documentation is outdated and really should be fixed. The flag is enabled by default now.
Drop steps 1-3, go straight to 4:
chrome://settings/passwords
Import from there should work.By the way, you tried pasting text into where the image url should be, that won't work at all on this forum.

It should look like this:

Check the preview on the right that the image is correctly linked.
Or just paste an image into the editor and it will auto-link it. -
Thanks for your help. Right, the option for passwords just doesn't show up, but it does seem to be detecting the correct FF path.
I tried your instructions about starting with chrome://settings/passwords, and the same thing happens: no matching experiments.
Trying to add the image again:

@AKendall Really strange that the Passwords option doesn't show up. Possibly it's not detecting any stored passwords, or it's a bug specific to MacOS.
Try the CSV export/import instead.
But you don't have the correct page, don't open
vivaldi://flags
Copychrome://settings/passwords
and paste it as is into the url field.
You will find the import option in the 3-dot menu next to the Add button. It opens the Chromium password manager which looks like:
PS always insert a line break before an image otherwise it messes up.

That worked! Thanks so much.
