Save? Save As?



  • I don't want downloaded files saved in the same directory every time, and I don't want to be stuck with the file name assigned by the site I'm downloading the file from. I may have a preferred directory, but I don't want to be stuck with that, either. The behavior that I like best is what old (XP) versions of Internet Explorer used. The browser always initiates the SAVE AS dialog, puts in the file name from the site I'm downloading from, and puts in my preferred directory. BUT, I can change the file name, and I can navigate to a different directory before I finally click SAVE.
