Aura extensions requires reinstall every time I restart
-
I use the Aura extension for password management among other things (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aura/fjbgpaheigpmkbdkdfghmkbnkpeofmhh). The extension works reasonably well, but any time I restart or hibernate my computer, it logs me out. Then, it won't let me log in, and I have to uninstall and reinstall it, then log in. Does anyone have a workaround? I've asked Aura support, but they say they don't support Vivaldi, but this hasn't been a problem until recently (maybe 3 weeks ago).

@jeremybartlett Any chance do you clean extensions storage?
Sadly, considering devs won't look for the issue, you can just report a bug to vivaldi.
But would be very useful knowing the exact version not affected by the issue beforehand.
Also, one of the "other things" could affect, so tell us which other extensions do you use. -
@Hadden89 Yes, I cleared my cache, and it didn't fix either issue, even temporarily. I don't know exactly what day I started having issues, but there was a Vivaldi update to 6.1 on June 8th, and an update of the Aura extension to 3.6.3 on June 7th, which is around the date things started breaking. So, I think the combination of Vivaldi 6.0 and 3.6.2 worked.
As for the "other things", the extension itself blocks ads and trackers, manages passwords, and generates passwords when asked. The service itself also does does identity theft protection and credit monitoring, but that isn't tied to the extension as all, and there isn't a separate one for that.
As for other extensions, here's a list of ones I have, although none were downloaded between the extension working and it not.

@jeremybartlett said in Aura extensions requires reinstall every time I restart:
although none were downloaded between the extension working and it not.
Well, true or not - the multiple "blocking" extensions (and the in-built Vivaldi blocker) may well have received list updates.
Are you sure you need them all (and that they do not conflict with each other)?

@TbGbe I probably don't and should remove some, but I had turned them all off and was still having issues.
However, good news. I reset all of the settings to default (which I was trying to avoid because it's a pain), and it seems to be fixed. Bad new, I don't know which setting caused it, so I'm going to go through changing settings to how I want them and restarting my computer to see if I can find what caused the issue.
Thank you both for your input.
