@Pathduck Pah, it's a dinosaur's cousin that spits napalm (has a switch on the back), it is red afterall!

I thought about this too but it would be too extreme imo 😁 :

What's the point in pointing out bugs when you do not seem to care about those reported over 2 years ago?

@bib_vivaldi What is the point of pointing out that no ETA is given on fixing particular bugs, when you do not learn how the system operates? Some bugs get fixed within days, others are still unfixed after five years or longer.

There are many thousands of bugs. We all have our pet bugs, but the developers have to decide on their priorities. Our duty is to work out a reliable recipe to reproduce a bug, get confirmation from other users to be sure that it is not just happening on our particular setup, then report it.

Recent regressions are of particular interest - we can mention them in Release Candidate and Snapshot threads. Then it is up to the Vivaldi Team to decide where to focus their limited resources.

@Pesala @bib_vivaldi I once had a bug on Mozilla's Bugzilla pertaining to Thunderbird, that if it were still open, it would be probably close to 15 years old now. I closed it after a dozen years, as it received no response or comments from their developers during all that time.

So yes, bugs can remain unfixed for many years.

      Vivaldi on Linux:
openSUSE Tumbleweed and Slowroll (Xfce 4.20)
Fedora 42 and Rawhide (Xfce 4.20)

      Android (10)

Vivaldi user since 2016. Thank you to all Vivaldi users.

Look, you've got it all wrong! You don't need to follow me. You don't need to follow anybody! You've got to think for yourselves! You're all individuals!
