Open tab in workspace
-
Couldn't find this request anywhere (one similar but not what I wanted) so I'm sorry if this has already been requested or already exists.
I would love to have a right click option to open the right clicked tab in another workspace to choose from. E.g. I have the tab in my work workspace. I use this option and I choose to open it eg "school" an voilà, I am now in that tab but in my school workspace.
I think this would be very useful.

@DavidRHel It is already implemented in the latest Snapshot (I don't know about the Stable build.
Right-click, Move To, Workspace.
-
@Pesala This is also already set up in the current stable - 6.0.2979.22.
As I read it, David wants to move the tab and thus be in the other workspace immediately.
However, with the option you presented, the tab is opened in the background.
He then still has to switch workspaces. -
Also what I meant is that the tab would stay in the original workspace as well. But thanks for the replies!
-
@DavidRHel So you want to duplicate the tab, one in the original and one in the other workspace?
As a workaround you can then- duplicate the tab
- move it to the other destination
- go to destination
There might be a command chain for that to create. But I have no idea of how to, because I can't find a command for
Move Tab to Workspace X
. -
@Dancer18 Yes that was my intention. I could probably create a command chain for that, thanks!
-
@DavidRHel There is no command that you could use to move the duplicated tab to another workspace.
- Duplicate the tab (using a shortcut or the context menu)
- Move it to the desired workspace using the context menu
- Switch to the desired workspace using a shortcut

I'm moving this from the requests to support forum, you might get more help with command chains here, which this seems suited for.
