Love the browser But...
-
I have been using Vivaldi for almost 2 weeks and have loved the look and the feel & the fact that none of the popups occur as they do on other browsers when i am using other applications. I thought I found the best thing going out ther, For Real!!
I'm taking my ball however and going back to the other field to play. This unfortunaately sucks, your browser is very very nice, useful, focusing, organized on and on. But then I spent an hour flipping from the tablet to the phone to the lap-top and back again, just start using the mail options and being able to sync devices. Thought I was done but, not done whatever was next will stay next, I feel like I wasted way to much time trying to get to the end point. I felt like I was there and really wanted to see how the next level parts of Vivaldi I might have loved, the mail clients the calendars who knows ..... Never will ...... My heart is crushed ......A quick note fixing the bookmarks to be more user friendly when adding to the tree might make a better experience. When I was creating folders to organize a few items, the folder would populate at the bottom of where I was , then I had to figure out where ( not a hard task i know but it was off the end of the page half the time ) to then right click, select rename, & name the folder. If your making a folder in any "tree" are you not labeling the folder ? Why not right click to make the folder and automatically be on to the next step to labelling the folder instead of all the actions, it is cumbersome and a daughtiung task to rearange and organize items. I also could not find, if it is an option in bookmarks, a way to sort manually instead of alphabetical only with folders first websites last.
Wish could hang out and util;ize the Awespmeness that is Vivaldi, I'll check back in a couple years!

@Jmac22Boss I feel that you gave up far too easily without even asking for help. There may be solutions to your issues, if we can figure out what they are exactly.
The folder naming issue is easy to fix. Right-click on a Bookmark Bar folder to add a new folder exactly where you want it.
Then name it in the dialog that appears.
What is the other issue about email?

Unfortunately it took you almost 2 weeks to find out one of the cool things that come with this browser - its community
Your report is rather confusing for me to try and give any useful advice. It seems to me you got displeased with the fact that you can't fully sync between all your devices or that some features that exist on the desktop versions are not available for mobile devices.
Personally I think that will always be the case - for example:
- a mail client that keeps all your email locally is too resource intensive for most smartphones
- due to the different screen layouts, I prefer to use the tab bar on the right side on the desktop but at the bottom on the smartphone
- even if Android supported extensions, many of them would likely behave differently than the desktop and I'm not sure I'd like to have them synchronized between those devices (even though I want them to sync between my laptop and desktop computers)
- etc, etc

Well, that wish coming true is mostly dependent on you Even if Vivaldi does not become your main browser, nothing stops you from using it on occasion (in those scenarios where you need to browse pages side by side, for example)
But one way or another I'm looking forward to see your actualized review in a couple years!
