New Account, No Webmail

EDIT: after 5 days I am now the proud owner of the glitchiest email UI ever. Thanks for your likes.

After spending 20 min looking through all help websites I found this reason why new accounts can't use mail.

Hope I can get good reputation for making this info just a bit more visible because I had no idea why my mail was not working.

@CatherineL hopefully liking and interacting with your post will give us both a few points! I was going mad thinking there was something wrong when it said there was already an account with my name but I lacked permission to use it!

@CatherineL so if you go to your profile you can see your reputation score and your number of posts and they are almost the same (mine are the same) so I think it's one point per comment, for the most part. No idea how many points are needed so just keep posting I guess.
