Vivaldi browser should be based on Firefox Browser, not Google Chrome Browser.

Whereas Google Chrome compromises with privacy and security, Firefox Browser does not compromise with privacy and security. One day, I hope that Vivaldi should be based on Firefox, not Chrome. I occasionally use Floorp Browser, which is based on Firefox. Like Vivaldi, Floorp Browser respects privacy and security. (Everyone probably knows and uses Firefox Browser.)

@takaishi97, FF has not so much better privacy protection as Vivaldi, but Mozilla send Userdata to Alphabet and Nest (Google advertising companies) apart to google-analytics.com. Apart the Blink engine is somewhat better than Gecko from FF. Anyway changing the engine of Vivaldi is to build it new from scratch, which is impossible for a small team.

@takaishi97 Bad idea. That would mean to throw away software development over many years.
And the Vivaldi Team, owners of Vivaldi, do not want this. -

Hello, welcome here!
Have fun with Vivaldi and the forum here.People often get this confused.
Vivaldi is not based on 'Chrome'.Vivaldi uses about 95% 'Chromium'.
The Chromium project is sponsored by Google, but is 100% Open Source, FOSS, FLOSS.Google is a big sponsor in the open source world, wants to give itself a good image with it and uses it for its own products.
'Chromium' is very different from Google's 'Chrome'. -
@takaishi97 I am happy that Vivaldi is not based on Ugly Eich Brave or Evil Google Chrome.

@Catweazle May be off-topic, but from what website is that screenshot? I don't know exactly what it does based on your screenshot, but I find tools that scan websites to be pretty interesting.
