When I click a file download link Vivaldi shows its built in Save file dialog
If I click "Open" Vivaldi shows Windows Save As dialog then I have to
save the file somewhere then Vivaldi will open the associated app
In Vivaldi's built in Save file dialog I used to click "Open" and Vivaldi just saves
the file in a temp folder and the opens it, How to restore this behavior?
I did reset download settings to defaults but that did not help.

Hi, I guess you have to enable "Save Files to Default ...."
        Reset the settings disable this:

You can choose a download location but the files are not automatically deleted, a long awaited feature.

        Cheers, mib

I'm not talking about deleting opened downloaded files.

The "Save Files to Default location without asking" skips both Vivaldi's built in Save file
dialog and Windows Save As dialog and does not even launch the file automatically.

I tried to flip every download setting but none helped.

The behavior I want was working before, and it's working in another user profile but
          not my profile.

            Hm, OK.
Please add your Vivaldi and OS version and a link to such a download. I am on Linux at moment but can test later on Windows 11.

            Cheers, mib
