@vandorrr at my home Vivaldi, my feeds are readable, but there is no installed mail account for handling.

OK - that build should have the fix 😞 Do you see any errors or warning messages in Activity log in Mail Status popup window (opened by the Mail Status button in the status bar)?

@vandorrr You don't need any mail account. It should work fine to only have feeds. Maybe I am misunderstanding you here.

@ltgorm No, I do not think so. I really wrote about what happened with my last added feed after reindexing the mail db.

@vandorrr can you do my a big favor? Open the browser, open a new tab. Enter the url vivaldi://inspect/#apps. Select the inspect link for the main.html page. See picture:
                      inspect.png

Then you get the debug dialog for the vivaldi client. I want you to check the version of the db and the status of the filters table in the db. Make sure you do not delete any data from those tables. So avoid pressing any buttons that want to clear data or delete records.

First thing is to see if you have the right version of the db. Open the IndexedDB storage folder and select the M3v1 database. Then you should see the version. See picture:
                      db-version.png
                      It should be version 1990

Next is to check the contents of the filters table and see if there are filters for Feeds there. Expand the filters table in the list of tables for M3v1 db. Select the index for [accountId+path]. Then you should see entries for the filters ordered by what we call AccountId+path. See if you can find some that are for accountId Feeds. See picture:
                      feeds-filters.png

Please report to me the version and the number of Feeds filters you find.

Then close the debug dialog window.

                      V

@ltgorm Thank you for your instructions! The db version is 1990 as yours.
But the I have only the 'VIVALDI_RESERVED_DUMMY...' filter for Feeds.feed_filters.png

@vandorrr OK so the version has been upgraded without the upgrade script managing to do its work. Can you do me another favor and open the about page for Vivaldi browser (vivaldi://about) and find the Profile Path. Then navigate to that path in your file sytem, find the Mail folder and see if you find a path called 8f8c62 - that is the root folder for all feed files that you have received/fetched. Those are stored in a folder strcuture by years, months and days. See if you have some actual feed files there or not. If not then there is no known location for the script to salvage from. The filters should have been re-installed though and all current content on those rss-servers should have been fetched again. That has failed.

@ltgorm The last regular folder date is 4-April-2023. (After that I have another, because I tried to add a new feed for the empty sidepanel hoping the re-index, re-fetching the feeds)
                            The 2023-04 folder: 2023_04_folder.png
(I have checked: the 2978.3 release date is April 3, 2023)

@ltgorm Yes, they are not empty. I can recognize my feeds' titles inside the eml.files.

@vandorrr OK - then I am surprised that the upgrade script did not restore those. There must be something wrong with that script for your case. The problem with the upgrade script is that we only got one shot and now that is gone by and possible error logs are lost after a restart. I will have to rethink how I can restore your data. Make sure to back up that folder structure before you try any more actions of removing and adding feeds in the browser.

Hi there, I have the same issue : feeds are in settings tab, but not in feeds panel so I don't see any new more feeds since a few days ago (maybe a week).

                                        in main.html inspect I have

                                        multiple times

                                        I also have indexeddb M3v1 version 1990

What worked for me as a quick fix: go to "Settings/Feeds"; uncheck the "Enable Mail, Calendar and Feeds" button; re-check the button.
