              Why Open the Web?

Despite the connecting purpose of the Web, it is not entirely open to all of its users.
When used correctly, HTML documents can be displayed across platforms and devices.
However, many devices are excluded access to Web content.

This snapshot solved the issue I had where I couldn't stream my local TV stations that offer it, since the prior snapshot.

                Awesome job Vivaldi Team!

[Media] Workaround for issues with blobURLs: further fix likely in the future (VB-94908)

Removed the parameter --enable-features="SupportPartitionedBlobUrl" from the desktop shortcut, updated.
                  Twitch works again.
                  Twitter media downloader works again.
means the setting is correctly enabled by default now. Good.

[Windows][Installer] Install should be prevented on systems older than Windows 10 (VB-94821)

                    good, that is sadly needed.

This one broke my video RSS feeds (the body is blank), but I updated the browser without closing it first, if that should matter.

If I try to add some video RSS url from odysee.com for example (random channel -> 3-dot menu -> copy RSS url), it adds it, but the number of the feeds and the titles are being shown only after a restart of the browser, and their (text) body only contains the text "Missing feed message" with an icon.

For the last 2-3 builds I've had a super weird problem (happens from time to time and I'm not yet sure what triggers it): sometimes a browser window would just stop responding to anything I do to a page - no clicks would be registered, scroll doesn't work, the cursor doesn't change over links, and yet the browser UI continues to work, I can even do a gesture to refresh the page for example. If I detach a tab from the problematic window and move it to a new one, things work properly.

Does this sound familiar? Could it be an extension misbehaving? The only new extension I've installed in the past few weeks is uBlock Origin Lite.

It will be released when it is ready.

@npro said in Blobby – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2921.3:

This one broke my video RSS feeds (the body is blank), but I updated the browser without closing it first, if that should matter.

I just got an RSS feed message, and it also has a blank body message. It's from a podcast, so it doesn't have video, but usually does have an audio player in the message.

Also, for the message, it was never marked as 'seen'. So it always appeared as a new message (always leaving a 1 over the mail icon on the status bar). Marking the RSS message as read and then marking it unread changed the status to 'seen'.

Sometimes it is the case that having a forum moderator is worse than not having one. In some cases it is due to "abuse of small power".

If this type of forum were extrapolated to an economic transition, who is the client and who is the businessman? Clearly the users are the clients, and a certain respect is always owed to us if we want to be kept as "clients".

A client can make requests, expose their desires (or doubts and fears), without a moderator "criticizing" or always pointing out what the clients expose..., and as long as that same client is not a "cretin", an arrogant or someone who abuses "customer power" himself.

This is a message to those who are in charge of Vivaldi, and I don't know if this message will be deleted by a moderator...

Have I been a "cretin"? I think I had to do it, if I perceive in myself and on other people that "abuse of little power".
