is a mail account required to use Calendar sync?
-
apologies if I have missed the answer to this question in help or these forums:
can you use Vivaldi's Calendar, with sync via vivaldi.net (i.e. use Vivaldi's own "internal" Calendar), without enrolling into Vivaldi Mail (i.e. without specifically adding a Mail account)?
I would like to use Vivaldi's Calendar to sync between my computers & my mobile phone. However, I'm having problems getting sync to work (all browsers are v 5.5), and I haven't added a Mail account - is this a problem if I want to use sync between devices? -

Hi, if you want to sync data like bookmarks between devices you need a vivaldi user account. As you can post here in the forum you have one.
The calendar can use different accounts, you can use a Google account for example. You don´t need a mail account.
To use the vivaldi.net calendar you need a vivaldi.net mail account.
The calendar is part of the Vivaldi web mail service.
This sound a bit complicated, maybe we should clear up what do you want to sync first.Cheers, mib
