Bookmarks Bar - Icons not showing
-
I have copied my bookmarks over from Chrome and set the Bookmarks Bar to the correct folder. 1. Unfortunately only some of the icons on my Bookmarks bar are displaying which is making it look a little pants. Anyone know how to fix this? 2. Is there an automatic way to ensure that Chrome and Vivaldi bookmarks are always synced? Even with a 3rd party app?

Vivaldi can't import the favicons from other browsers. The file system is different. You just have to visit the websites and restart the browser to get the favicons back.

I did try the restart without much improvement.
I was offered an update today which I have done and things seem to be around 90% better.
Still missing some icons such as google drive and dropbox though despite several restarts.(Windows 10).

Firefox has Favicon Reloader extension to automate this. Is there anything similar for Vivaldi? I found an extension named Favicon Checker but after install and restart of Vivaldi it did not show any config page as shown in the screen shots.
Back in the day I wrote a brute force command line program that read a bookmarks.html file and loaded each bookmark in the default browser, 10 tabs at a time, then killed the browser and did the next 10. Needless to say that will not work anymore because browsers now weigh 10 tons and take a minute to load rather than a few seconds.
