Surface Tablet-Laptop Hybrid
-
I bought myself a tablet-laptop hybrid, the Surface Go 3, to replace my ageing Kindle Fire tablet. After using my Surface for a few days, I'm in love with it! It's fast becoming the favorite computer I've ever had.
The screen is about ten inches, the same size as my Kindle Fire. I've found that a very nice size for a tablet: Large enough for comfortable reading, not so large that it's uncomfertable to hold and use. As a laptop: It's ultra-portable and easy to carry. It's comfortable to use even in bed. And it runs Windows, so it can run applications designed to work on a desktop/laptop.
As a tablet, running Windows is a weakness. Most Windows applications (and perhaps Windows itself) are not well-suited for use on tablet computers. I'm going to try to install the Android operating system (probably the Fyde OS or PrimeOS distribution) without uninstalling Windows. That should fix this weakness, as Android apps are designed to run on tablets.
If all goes well: I'll have myself an amazing ultra-portable Windows laptop, and Android tablet, all in one unit!
