Drag and Drop Issue

Hi. I am facing issues to drag-and-drop files from folders to the Vivaldi browser. Is someone else also experiencing the same?

The operating system Ubuntu 22.04, Vivaldi 5.3, and related software are all up to date. I'll appreciate some help with this.

No, i could drag a image screenshot from Thunar in Vivaldi forum comment.

I am using Nautilus. I am simply dragging files and folders from desktop as well as the rest of the file system to somewhere on the web where they are supposed to be dropped. Like here in Vivaldi forum comment.

I can see "DROP HERE" text, but I get nothing when I drop the file.

I just dragged and dropped this little lovely bird here. It wanted to say hello from Gnome Web a.k.a "epiphany-browser".

Now this looks like a Vivaldi Bug. I lived with it since Ubuntu 20.04 release blaming Gnome.

How so cruel could I be...!!! sigh

I wish I had signed up for the Forums long ago. Where I was... What I had been doing...

//edit: Does not happen on Windows 11.
On Debian 11.4 KDE5 Plasma Dolphin working for me the second time i dropped; same with Chrome 103.
Ubuntu 22 LTS Files and Mint 21 XFCE thunar works at first drag.

//EDIT: Can you reproduce it with Chromium 103?
If yes, report bug for Chromium 103 at https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/list , the Chromium devs can check & fix it, and after they fixed, the upstream results in a fix for Vivaldi later.

But mentioned bug VB-72139 was closed as Fixed.

@npro I just dragged & dropped those 2 (.png) images (and 1x .jpg + 1x .jpeg) from Dolphin v22.04.3, no problems with Viv-5.3.2679.70 & 5.4.2741.3. Partially OT but did you know that Ouagadougou is the capital of Burkina Faso?

Drag from Dolphin and Thunar then drop to Vivaldi works fine.
Drag from Nautilus to Vivaldi doesn't work in Ubuntu 20 and 22.
Drag from Nautilus to Gnome Web works fine.
