How can I disable swipe to close currently open tab (not in tab list)?
-
I want to disable swipe from left action which currently closes the currently open tab. You can see in the screenshot below that when I swipe from left and hold
← Close tab
shows up.Reasons:
- I use navigation gestures instead of navbar;
- some websites (e.g. this very forum) use the very same swipe to open a menu.

@tukusejssirs I'm guessing the swipe from left action you're talking about is your phone's settings and not Vivaldi's settings.
As far as this forum is concerned, if you want to slide out the menu on the left, you can try to move the starting position slightly to the right, as long as it does not exceed the vertical center line of the screen. -
@Aaron, no,
← Close tab
definitely comes from Vivaldi, as it only shows up in Vivaldi. Also, the nav gesture icon is different; see‹
on the left of the DDG logo).As for this forum’s menu, I don’t actually care about it. All I want to is disable closing current tab using left swipe.

Now I'm in Termux :

@Aaron, yes, that is okay for me. I want to keep the navigation gestures (instead of navbar), but I want to disable the Vivaldi Snapshop Android feature that adds another left-swipe action besides the global (nav gestures) action without the ability to disable it.

@tukusejssirs Indeed, you are right.
I reproduced on another phone without gesture navigation enabled.
And I also checked all possible related options and there seems to be no way to disable it.
Meanwhile, I found out that there is an option maybe to turn it off, but it doesn't work:
Now I don't understand what this option does -
