Using LastPass password manager

How do I get LastPass configured in Vivaldi?
I installed the extension from/for Chrome, but don't know how to get the LastPass app to start automatically when Vivaldi starts. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks. -
I used LP for a while on Vivaldi for Windows and it worked very well. But on Android it was never smooth. I ended up jumping to the LP app, finding and copying the pw from it, then going back to Vivaldi and pasting it. Not ideal.
I recently switched from LP to BitDefender, and their password manager is not much better, as they don't yet support Vivaldi.

@joeduffus Maybe try Bitwarden instead.
It works with both Android and Desktop versions of Vivaldi. It is also open-source and most people can get away with using the free version while the premium version (which you would mainly only need to add a few more 2-factor authentication options) is $10 USD a year. You can also self host the sync server if you are technically inclined.

I have also been using Bitwarden in Vivaldi for a couple of years now. I can vouch for it working very well. In fact, i have come around to thinking that using a password manager is really really important, and now actively encourage FF&C to follow suit.
I don't mean to hijack this away from LastPass. However, i find that generally speaking, people have a very low tolerance when it comes to adopting a password manager. Often they have ignored earlier advice about a master password for their passwords, and they have become accustomed to user info being automatically filled in as soon as they get to a website. So, the barrier of entry for a formal password manager is pretty high.
Bitwarden might not have the most features. But for me it integrated so smoothly & reliably that i stopped researching and started deploying. There are quite a few out there. If one gives you a bit of trouble, try a another. When you have chosen one and become experienced, get all whom you care about using it.

I took your advice and am trying out BitWarden now! It has some things that I missed from LastPass that BitDefender lacks -- like putting accounts into "folders." It doesn't seem to have any issues with Vivaldi but I have not really had to use it within the Android app yet to see how that goes.

Thanks for the comment and good luck. I have found Bitwarden more than acceptable on mobile.

Simply having secure access to my secrets whilst i'm out and about is awesome. Either on my phone or someone else's computer, i can open the vault and gain access to my username/passwords and get on with whatever it is i want to do. Under those circumstances, i obviously expose the password and type it in.

On my phone, sometimes i find myself opening the vault to copy and paste credentials into another app.

Frequently Bitwarden automatically provides assistance. Whilst in Vivaldi, when logging into a site, i input username, (often selecting from field history), tap the password field and get prompted by Bitwarden to retrieve password as shown in the attached image. From there:
- tap Bitwarden in keyboard area
- input vault password, tap [Unlock]
- tap matching item (list should already be filtered)
- having returned to Vivaldi with password filled in, simply tap [Login] on the webpage.
