Calander events in browser different than web calendar

I mainly update my calendar on an Android phone using Open Sync and the google calendar but also update events in the browser calendar. I've been finding tat especially when updating events in the browser calendar they weren't showing on my phone. Further investigation should the events were there but appeared to be set at 23:00 not the actual time!. Opening the web calendar also showed these events at 23:00. now I'm finding all three calendars show different events and timings with the browser calendar and phone calendar showing multiple events for the sae entry.
