Move Bookmark From Speed Dial Subfolder?
-
Hi there. Accidentally created a subfolder on a speed dial tab: to image-links in a folder. How do I move them back and eliminate that folder? (Drag and drop does not work for this.) Using Windows 10. Thanks for any help!

@johnjames001 Use Drag and Drop in the Bookmark Panel to organise your bookmarks. Press delete to remove a folder.

@Pesala Thanks, but not sure I follow. I could be using the wrong terminology when I say "bookmark." I have literally thousands of bookmarks; I have only a few site-links ("bookmarks?" on a few speed dial tabs. Two of them wound up in a folder within one of those tabbed pages. If I delete the folder, they'll both vanish. If I go into the panel, I'm not sure how that will affect the speed dial, or whether it will affect it at all. Thanks again!

@johnjames001 Speed Dials are just bookmarks in the Speed Dial folder of your Start Page. Drag those few site links out of the folder within the tabbed pages into the Speed Dial folder, then delete the empty speed dial folder.

@johnjames001 "Speed Dial" is nothing more than a specialized view of the bookmark folder that has been assigned "Speed Dial" status. Any/every bookmark folder is eligible for this status, assigned by context menu, and all of the bookmarks in such folders behave just as all bookmarks in all folders.

@Ayespy Thanks for this info - it's not obvious to everyone and saved me a large headache
