Launching apps from Vivaldi results in a crash
-
Hello. I'm accustomed to using email links to launch zoom from the browser. It's been working perfectly since I moved to Vivaldi, but today Vivaldi crashes every time I try this. I copied the link and used it in Safari just for tonight.
I tried locating the crash logs to report, but the command given resulted in an error:
find ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports -mtime -7 -name Vivaldi\*.crash | zip -j ~/Documents/Vivaldi\ Crash\ Logs\ $(date '+%Y%m%d-%H:%M') -@ zip error: Nothing to do! (/Users/emily/Documents/Vivaldi Crash Logs 20220412-20:16.zip)
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I am using Monterey 12.3.1 and Vivaldi 5.2.2623.33 (Stable channel) (x86_64).
Thanks

Vivaldi crashes when trying to redirect from Vivaldi to other software.
Vivaldi crashes when I press the invite link to launch the Zoom client. Similarly, it crashed when I tried to sign in to Slack and redirect to the Slack client.
This happened when I was using Linux (Ubuntu) as well as Windows.
I recently updated Vivladi to 5.2.2623.33 (Stable channel) (64-bit). I just dropped the version to 5.2.2623.18 and checked the same behavior and it did not crash, so I think the problem is caused by the latest version. -
I have same issue!
macOS Catalina 10.15.7
Vivaldi 5.2.2623.33 -
Vivaldi has never been the most stable place to run Zoom sessions, but since the latest update, opening Zoom crashes the session.
I'm running version 5.2.2623.33

@blander0439 The bug happens when a extra blank window is opened to print or show an other content.
Known and unfixed yet. -
When I open the Telegram invite link and try to transition to the Telegram software, it crashes 100% of the time.

Ppafflick moved this topic from Vivaldi for macOS on

Thank you all for the reports. We're aware of the issue - our developers are working on a solution. We will be releasing a minor update soon to address this problem. We apologize for the inconvenience!

I'm on 5.2.2623.33
This only started to happen with the latest update. Each time I click a Zoom link to launch the app, Vivaldi crashes. I tried the links in other browsers and it works just fine, so I'm not sure why this changed with the latest update.

Same with Telegram links. It crashes every time when opening telegram link by clicking on the link.
But works fine if you copy-paste the link url to a new tab. -
I'm seeing a crash when a page tries to load a login popup. Crashes every time, regardless of whether allow popups is checked or not. Version 5.3.2643.3

We've just released a minor update that should hopefully fix the problem with crashes. Please update your browsers to the latest version.

Vivaldi crashes completely when I select a URL link. For example, if I hit a Microsoft Teams Link to start a Teams Meeting from my Google Calendar, Vivaldi crashes??

We've managed to get another update for Stable out. This one reverts some of the recent changes that caused the browser to crash so frequently. Please try this one, and let us know how it goes. Thank you for being patient with us!
