I've experienced it as well
Mint - Cinnamon 17.3
Intel core i5

Are the guys at vivaldi aware of this bug? Is it even a vivaldi bug? I have it and it's kind of annoying

I think it's better now with that parameter. I'll test it for a while and write back. It's weird though cause it's a high end gaming laptop and it has both intel and nvidia chips. If this doesn't happen in other browsers, doesn't that mean it's vivaldi's problem?

Here another one with that flick.
Vivaldi version: 1.1.453.47 (Stable channel) (64 bits)
Ubuntu 16.04
Kernel 4.4.0-21-generic
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5500 (Broadwell GT2)
Processor: Intel Core i3-5005U CPU @ 2.00GHz × 4 64 bits -
Hi, I have same problem. This occurs only when i run vivaldi on intel.
Disabling Vsync solves the problem but couses higher cpu usage.
I use bubmlebee to run vivaldi on nvidia card and it works ok -
sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
Section "Device" Identifier "Intel Graphics" Driver "intel" Option "AccelMethod" "sna" Option "DRI" "3" Option "TearFree" "true" EndSection
Seems solved the problem.
Arch Linux, Intel i5 2500k.

I think this is a conflict with KDE, but it didn't start happening until after upgrading to Vivaldi 1.0.
I am using Kubuntu 16.04, and this issue exists when I choose to use Vivaldi without the native border, or when I start it using the native border, but discard the border by right-clicking it > "More Actions" > "No Border."Can anyone without KDE reproduce this issue?

Same problem on Ubuntu. I think videos aren't the only problem because sometimes I can watch videos on youtube for hours without flickering and sometimes it flickers like a stroboscope. Other browsers are OK.
Ubuntu 14.04 64b, Vivaldi 1.1.453.59 64b, GPU Intel HD 4000. -
