I have not expierenced these problems, my LastPass is working just fine. running on the snapchat before the latest.

No problems with LastPass here, apart from having to reconfirm the Trusted Platform with every new update of Vivaldi.

Suggestion:
One can install the LastPass plugin via the Chrome Webstore. I assume that's what you've done.
You can also download the LastPass Universal Windows installer from https://lastpass.com/simpledownload.php and set this up on your PC.
I've noticed that without this local installation LastPass behaves different from just the Chrome extension alone.

My setup is both the local installer from https://lastpass.com/simpledownload.php and the Chrome extension from the webstore.

Well, it kinda works, sometimes.

After filling in my credentials on the lastpass pulldown menu, it takes about 30 seconds before it asks for my second factor authentication, while on FF and Chrome this is instant.
After that, I usually, but not always, am logged in to my account. But always, after some time (which varies wildly; can be 30 seconds or half an hour) I get logged out. Usally no error messages, sometimes a Lastpass message 'Something went wrong'. I can log in again, after which the process repeats.

On FF or chrome this never happens. Lastpass is rocksolid. I cannot use Vivaldi as my main browser until this works flawless, so hoping this will be fixed soon.

It's starting to make me nervous… :unsure: I do not like constantly typing in my master password...

I was looking forward to giving Vivaldi a shot as my every day browser, but Lastpass does not work–will not sign in, just sits there with no response after clicking "Log In". While I can certainly appreciate that the Vivaldi devs' primary concern is not that their browser be compatible with Lastpass, it is one of my primary needs. It is heavily integrated into my daily workflow, works fine in Chrome/Firefox, and it's not worth my time to change the way I work to accommodate the lack of Lastpass support in Vivaldi--the same reason I haven't bothered giving Microsoft Edge more than a cursory glance. Sorry guys--I think you have an interesting product, maybe I'll check back further down the road.

I get a 20-second pause after entering my master password, on both a win10x64 desktop rig and an arch x64 laptop. Works fine otherwise. The LastPass login window is not unresponsive for those 20 seconds, but pressing Enter after entering the master password appears to do nothing… the cursor just keeps blinking. The extension accepts the Enter keystroke whether I leave the window open or go about my business.

Mostly working here on Linux OpenSUSE, Vivaldi 1.1.453.52 (64-bit).

However, when I go to sites configured to reprompt for the master password, I have to wait 10-15 seconds after entering the password. On FF and Chrome/Chromium it is instantaneous.

Hi, it is a known problem for some time and I reported it (VB-14612) . Shortly login takes around 20-22 seconds and probably will be fixed soon.

I've been using Opera for years and was very happy when i found out about Vivaldi. Would change to Vivaldi right away if it wasn't for the buggy thing with Lastpass. The login to Lastpass sometimes freezes and sometimes it logs out all of a sudden. I hope there will be a fix for this soon so i can start using Vivaldi 24/7

I#m using Vivaldi since nearly 3 months and in the beginning I had trouble with Lastpass and some other extensions.
But Lastpass is working since Snapshot 1.1.443.3 without any major problems. On some sites I have problems with auto filling, but in general Lastpass is working. Sometimes you must have real patience, when logging in or reasking for master password on some entries, bit it's working and never freezing!

I'm not using stable version, because many fixes take too long for getting put into stable version. Maybe in stable version it's still not not working.

Right, it takes some time to log in. But it works fine! (Linux, Ubuntu on one computer, Manjaro on the other)

The same with me and version 1.3.501.6 of Vivaldi. The login is taking some seconds to proceed. But then it works for me like a charm.

Thanks for that. But I don't want to install the client software only for the extension to work. There must be another solution by Vivaldi.

When I enabled the binary option my laggy logins ceased! Thanks for the work around. Now I need to check if the LP version four interface works.

Edit: Yes the Lastpass v4 interface when enabled from "My Vault" now works. Not sure which Vivaldi version that started working on again but I think I like Lastpass version three interface better, it's more compact.

Click on Lastpass –> More Options --> About and make sure that binary component is "true." If it isn't, I think there is an install option.

Thanks!!! This explains everything. Without the binary component, the extension has to calculate thousands of PBKDF2 iterations in pure javascript. No wonder it always took this long. This should be pinned and marked solved (if that is even possible).
