Solved renewed tab extention as startup pg

I have set the extention "renewed tab" as my home pg, and configured it completely to my taste. In the vivaldi tab settings I checked the option that the start pg is controlled by an extention. However, whenever I open Vivialdi it is the theme default pg that is displayed as my start pg. How can I alter this and have my home pg with "renewed tab" extention as my start pg?

Unfortunately this is not obvious to new users, you need to change the settings under General > Startup > Homepage and set it to:
chrome://newtab/

You'll also need to set "Startup with" to Homepage (unless you want Last Session of course).

New tab extensions work by replacing the Chrome new tab page which is not part of Vivaldi, and Vivaldi does not handle this well at the moment.

Also be aware that there's a bug at the moment where if using new tab extension the internal pages like Bookmarks, History, Notes do not work at all and you'll need to use the panels for that. They're working on fixing it.
