Solved Sign in to Chrome
-
In some cases, for some extensions to work properly, I need to be signed in to the chrome. How can I enable "sign in to chrome? Is there an option to do so?
I think I don't understand how exactly does it work, because I can download extensions, and I signed in to the chrome's webstore.
Thanks!

@kogan Paid extensions require Google account login, and this will never work in Vivaldi because there is no longer any Google account code.

"Sign in to Chrome" works only in Chrome.
Which extension shows you this "Sign in to Chrome"?
-
@doctorg For example this one https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tabs-outliner/eggkanocgddhmamlbiijnphhppkpkmkl .
I believe you have to press "Buy Paid Mode Licesne Key" button in the extension's options, and then it will offer you to log in. You will not be able to do so.
I have a licnese key for this extension. It works fine for example in edge, which I am not interested to use as you might understand
UPDATE:
I may try to contact extention's developer, but I have faced same situation before with other resources / extensions, so decided to ask you first. -

@pathduck Thank you for the clarification.

@kogan No problem. It's too bad though, but that's the way it is. I suggest contacting the developer and ask them to provide another way to verify the license than being signed into Google.

@Kogan I found this thread, and it turns out the very same extension is the reason for my search. Did you ever hear back from the developer? I was going to send a message their way, but since you may have resolved this, I figured I would ask you.
Thanks!

This could be the result of an agreement between Google and Edge to share the Chrome Sign API which most other Chromiums aren't allowed to use without paying a lot of money to BigG.

@GonzagaEagles16 No, I didn't hear back from the developer. But you can give it a try. I bit disappointed and not using this extension for severl months now. But if dev reply something to you, I will appreciate if you write back here on the forum about it.
Thank you!
