Size of image required for Start Page background.

I am trying to set an image in Themes/Editor/Background/Select Image. It seems that whatever I do to change the image on my computer, it comes out too big for the Start Page. I've tried increasing and decreasing the size of the image, the same with the image canvas but I can't get it to fit properly on the Start Page. Is there some specific size that is required so that it will just fit?

Any part of the left-hand side can be cut because it is all black but the right side has to be full height and the right edge must show. I can add black to the right side if necessary to make it work. Can anyone give me some guidance? Thanks.

For wallpaper backgrounds, we recommend using pictures with a resolution of at least 1920×1080px.

Thanks TbGbe. I've made the image 2389x1080 px but the Start Page looks the same - image too big.

@michael100 Did you try setting the image to "Centre" instead of "Stretch to fit" under Themes/Editor/Background ?

@michael100 Keep in mind, the image covers the entire window height - not just the start page. If you enabled showing the image behind the tab bar in your theme, that is where the rest of the height would be. So if you want the full height only for the start page, you will need to add blank space at the top for what would be behind the tab bar.

@michael100 This is all matter of proportions, rather than dimensions. You're using an image with dimensions (roughly) 18:9 for a screen that appears to have a 16:9 aspect ratio. You need to crop the image if you want it to fit perfectly for the background. Ideally, you should use an image with a resolution of 1920×1080px, as this appears to be your screen resolution.
