Audio lag in Google Meet

I have a problem and a solution here and I mainly just wanted to share in case someone else has this problem, but maybe this can be fixed too?

When trying to use Google Meet, my audio was lagging my video by almost a second.
The solution ended up being to change the default behaviour of blocking the site from sending notifications. It now works whether or not I choose to block notifications.

Running Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, 64-bit
