What's the relevance of coming-up with a 64-Bit Browser Edition?

Dear Darkfae!
Its Good to find that they have put a Note already on the Browser-Download Page to recommend 32-Bit Edition over 64-Bit. Here goes the Pictorial Representation as well::

64 bit browser code is simply harder to attack than 32 bit code.
Frankly I think that all the increased protection comes more by the mandatory driver signature enforcement rather than any supposed marvel in the architecture itself.
MS could do the same on x86 but it didn't, to allow the re-usage of older drivers developed for XP (and even earlier OSes)
