Vivaldi 5.0.2497.24 (Stable channel) (x86_64)
Revision fedc9977d91d270b6659fd3b0cc8873ac07d1c0d
OS macOS Version 12.0.1 (Build 21A559)The ability to pin tabs in groups has disappeared ... Menu item "unpin" is present, but "pin is not"
-
@lesharb Was it ever there before? You can do it with a shortcut:
- Assign a shortcut to Pin / Unpin Tab (e.g. Shift+P)
- Select the tabs in the tab stack
- Execute the shortcut.
-
-
You can add (...back) the pin/unpin option to the tab stack context menu...
-
But it does seem that the devs assumed that pinning wasn't needed/wanted for stacks...
Can you live with the replication of "pin tab" in un-pinned tabs' menus?
(I've found no problems with its function.) -
@oakdaleftl The step that I missed was to add Pin / Unpin Tab from the Application Commands list, not Pin Tab and Unpin Tab from the Context Commands.
-
Not sure what you mean... Is it a Windows thing?
But I have no problem adding a keyboard shortcut...as shown below.
-
@oakdaleftl I am talking about the Menu Customisation.
The Pin / Unpin command is not available on the Tab Context menu, but it is on the Application Commands menu.
-
I've removed the context menu instance of Pin / Unpin Tab for stacked tabs (and, of course, from the File Menu); the shortcut works fine for stacked and unstacked tabs. And the page context menu includes Pin / Unpin Tab.
(I can easily forgo seeing it listed on a stacked tab's context menu...)
The Pin Tab of the tab's context menu is also a toggle...
(p.s. : Shift-P won't work as a short-cut, for obvious reasons! I've used Alt-P.)
