Tried everything but still no address bar.

Still no address bar. It vanished a couple of days ago. I tried everything I could find in this and other forums.
I have the latest Vivaldi version, and no extensions.
Unticking and ticking options in Settings => Address Bar has no effect. Ctrl-F11 does nothing. The "Reset Address Bar" button does nothing. The Preferences file looks fine. I even tried adding "Enabled",TRUE to the Preference file's Address Bar parameters.
Extra sessions have the same problem.
If I cannot find the problem, I will need to try deleting Vivaldi and reinstalling it, losing my history and my numerous open tabs.
Any additional ideas before I do that?

Ctrl-F11 does nothing.
Have you checked "Settings/Keyboard - View" to verify that Ctrl-F11 is configured for "Toggle UI"?
It should also toggle the view of the Tab Bar, not "do nothing"!Edit: What happens if you open a new window?

@dddiam Save your numerous open tabs as a session.

Thank you for your help!
"Toggle UI" is indeed set to ctrl+F11, but it does nothing.
However, your taking me to the keyboard shortcuts settings gave me the solution!
There was a blank setting for "Address Bar". I set it to ctrl+shift+A, and that new keyboard shortcut successfully toggles the address bar off and on!
Answering your other question, without an address bar, opening a new window took me to my start page, including speed-dial tiles, and an additional text box for typing in a URL.

Thank you for your suggestion. I was not aware of the ability to save sessions, but it sounds like an excellent practice to do that every now an then.
Appreciatively,
