Hello! 😁 It’s Friday again, and this means another Friday poll. Last week we asked about ad blockers, and the results are in. It seems most poll participants uses some form of ad blocker, with a lead of 72% of all votes. This week we ask how many mail accounts you actively use?

The question and the poll are specifically focused on the number of accounts you actively use, not including temporary accounts and old accounts you’ve moved away from. With that said you may of course feel free to share that as a fun little sidenote. 🤔

Go ahead and cast your vote over on Vivaldi.net to let us know about your mail usage and share in the comments below too! The poll is found in the bottom right corner on the front page. Remember you need to be logged in to vote. 🎆

I am surprised when many people use too many (I guess they have reasons) I only have one active one and a secondary one for pages where for some reason it tells me that the first one is already registered. (Or security issues)

          • MailRu for all contacts and work (from university times).
          • GMail for registrations and Google services.
          • Yandex for Yandex services and some specific accounts.
          • Vivaldi for nothing, just because I have it already.

I had QIP also (it was a part of multi-messenger, based on jabber with own email service), but now it closed.

I don't feel at home in this world anymore

@realmat0s Maybe some people have a lot of boyfriends/girlfriends, and want to keep their emails in different accounts?

I have four (email accounts, not girlfriends), only two of which I use actively:

            • An old email account from a previous Internet provider, which I no longer use, but I keep some old emails.
            • My regular personal email account
            • My website email account
            • An account that I am testing to take over from Gmail.

I have two gmail accounts (one old one for previous clients & one go mail subscriptions), one hotmail that I've had forever, one Vivaldi and one provincial for communication with my various medical specialists.
That makes five (well four I check regularly).

There are tree accounts that I actively use at present (each with several addresses):
                Public account for business matters.
                Private account for personal communications.
Subscription account for newsletters and the like.

I tried to do all this in one account, but it became to noisy. Though I wish that I could find a way to use only one account / address, just like I have one phone number and one street number.

                  1. Main private account
                  2. GMail account because I somehow seem to need one for some legacy things.
                  3. Spam mail account that I use to register to services. Whenever I reset a password mail gets sent there
                  4. Vivaldi mail account for testing Vivaldi mail
                  5. School Kid 1 mail account (support homeschooling)
                  6. School Kid 2 mail account (support homeschooling)

I would love to add my work mail too, but a) Vivaldi does not support Exchange ActiveSync and b) it's a no go for our IT anyway

Usually on Win11 running Vivaldi Snapshot builds. Opinionated about working efficiently with email. Folders are evil | Mail workflow: receive, read, reply, mark as read, done.
