Solved Command + ScrollWheel = Zoom #MacOS
-
I thinkit's pretty self explanatory
Lots of us use Vivaldi on an external monitor with a mouse and a keyboard. I would like to map the "zoom" function (see the zoombar in the bottom-right corner) to CMD + ScrollWheel, just as I can do the same onWindows b pressing Ctrl + Scrollwheel.
It's a bit annoying to go to the scroll bar every time. (although it's much better than Safari's click View menu then click Zoom In and Repeat That Multiple Times. (: )
Could you guys do this? ^^

UPDATE - I solved it!
I use a tiny little utility program/app, called Mos. (highly recommend it otherwise)
I had smooth scrolling enabled:
... which messed with the zoom in Vivaldi. Smooth scrolling is good while scrolling, but less ideal for zooming. Therefore I added an exception:
It only activates the exception when pressing Cmd key, which is the key for zooming nevertheless, so this should not pose any problems.I hope this helps somebody.

@galgogergo This is already a feature.
-
@thescorb0 Could you explain how to turn it on? I use the latest Vivaldi on the latest mac OS and it doesn't work. (cmd + scroll doesn't do anything)
-
@thescorb0 I've made a video about the issue: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SkzpJ49rXfqiSxx6zsBkHK0XBK9Ygsl7/view?usp=sharing
The zoom only works when I'm dragging the slider.
When scrolling, it only toggles between 90-110% for some reason, and doesn't affect the screen. (does not zoom)It's a bug, then.
-
@galgogergo Try going to Settings>Webpages>Use ⌘+Scroll to Zoom Page.
-
@Thescorb0 I have that on! Without it (when I uncheck it), it doesn't evenmove the slider at the bottom of the page. The problem is it won't move it properly WITH it either!
-
@thescorb0 In the upper video (see the Google Drive link) it' clear that it only zooms the page when I'm dragging the slider manually. When I'm using the Cmd + scroll option, it somehow doesn't properly register it. (the slider jumps between 90 and 100%, and the page won't zoom even then, though...)
