High GPU usage on some video players

I notice high gpu usage on certain video websites. Most notably those using jwpcdn videos. I've disabled all of my extensions and restarted, used private window and still have lags with dropped frames and audio. I do not have this issue in chrome. Also have vivaldi fully up to date.
