@guigirl Not sure if they were able to get Bruce, but they are already doing makeup tests with Gary Oldman in the role of the elephant
-
@nomadic hah, Merka never sleeps to put my ideas into words… & steal the joy from me
i didn’t know there was a fellow Discworld fan here, btw.
-
Reading this blog article, I wanted to take a look at Vivaldi partner's site (namely «Polestar»).
That's what I got first (JS disabled…):
Then, I got this (JS enabled for the site):
-
@hlehyaric You can blame Citroën for that last one
https://portsgroup.com/en/blog/legal/polestar-temporarily-banned/

@pathduck Thanks for info.
It doesn't matter if I can't visit Polestar's site as I really don't care (though I'll be able using a VPN), but the case is «interesting». It seems they have some spare time at Citroën…

NOT a fan?@nomadic I do like books
P.S. I hope you're reading in order - if so, some good ones still to come -

NOT a fan?you mean any1? dunno, would have to ask them.

there’s one exception to that which i made by lucky accident – Guards! Guards! better be read before any other books about them.

I am going through them in published order. Saw lots of suggestions online to do each storyline separately, but I wanted to see how the world developed as the books go along.
There are also a few small references that would be missed it you read some storylines before another.
I do like books
Noted. Will have to be careful about accidentally referring to you as a monkey

That's what I did, too.
Then I re-read from the beginning until I got the next oneThen, after getting them all (
), I re-read in the "separate stories" arc, just for fun.
Then watched the "movies" and "series".

Happy Hogswatch to all
-
@tbgbe Happy Hogswatch!
Have any of you Pratchett fans seen "The Watch" series? Normally I'd jump at the chance, but I read it was terrible and the trailer sure is not reassuring.
The three BBC films I really enjoyed though, especially Going Postal - Claire Foy's performance as Adora Belle Dearheart is stellar - and she does look great in that black Victorian dress
-
@pathduck IF you ignore any (and all) preconceptions that it is based on Discworld, so that you watch it as a (new) series - it is not Awful !
If you can't, then it is the worst Discworld series (IMHO) made, so far
-
How fast, & far, can you run in one minute?
-
Truly despicable craven kowtowing to the almighty fscken dollar, ethics morality & human rights be damned.
-
@hlehyaric I never heard of them before either - was confused at first when everyone was talking about Polestar on one of our meetings here at Vivaldi. Anyway, that's how I found out about this car brand. And I considered myself to be a car guy, pfff...
What a shame!
PS. Congratulations on making the 1000th post here

the 1000th post here
That's odd. I coulda sworn we had more than eight posts here. Oh well... counting is so tricky!
-
@pafflick hmm, who’s gonna have 0b10000000000-th post?

How useful & wonderful V is!
It prevents users from wasting money on futile purchases. -
@hlehyaric Hell, i was so embarrassed when they wrote that profile article on me. I prefer generally staying outta the spotlight, & just getting down & dirty in my own special way.

She is? Prolly she'll have already left the franchise by then.
