New Tab - Start Page
-
Hi, everyone. I'm assuming there is a simple solution that I have thus far overlooked.
I have been using the Chrome extension Unsplash Instant to control the start page when I open a new tab. It works great. However, I would like for the new tab page also to open when I start the browser, and I cannot seem to make it do that. When I select open start page upon startup, I get the traditional Vivaldi start page. I tried to use "vivaldi://newtab/" as my home page, but that results in an error message.
In Chrome, there is an option for startup to "Open the New Tab page." Is there some way I can achieve a similar result with Vivaldi?
Thanks for reading.

@jefferywdavis Startup with last session is the most versatile. If you close all other tabs before exiting, leaving only your start page, then that is what you will see when you start up.

@jefferywdavis So - you're not using Speed Dial/Start Page but using a custom page generated by an extension instead?
-
@ayespy That's right.

@jefferywdavis This should work:
In addition to setting Tabs > New Tab Page to Start Page + Controlled by extension.
-
@jefferywdavis I think you have to turn on Tabs/New Tab Page/Start Page/Controlled by Extension.

@pathduck Thanks! Perfect.

@pathduck Thanks, this really works. However, I found that if I have one browser process already running, and I open another new Vivaldi window, the startup page of the second one is a blank page, not the new tab page controlled by my extension.
This is really weird. I really hope an original [new tab page] option for startup page can be added.
