how to drag and drop or copy paste into notes as RTF?
-
Hello, I am frustrated because when I copy paste or drag and drop text and images from a web page into Vivaldi it comes out as text instead of Rich Text (RTF, RTFD). Is there any way around this ?
thanks in advance for your time and help ! -
@ruffles23 , I don't think so. For this reason I use apart the Blue Velvet Editor in the Web Panel (works also in mobile), it don't save in RTF, but in Html format, which also permits a rich text format and you can open the file right in the browser or with any office suite, apart it permits to select and copy/paste a webpage as is.
It's part of the SSuite (Free, no registering needed, online, open and use) -
a very interesting and intelligent comment !
I followed your instructions, put it in the web panel, and it is perfect. You are also right about HTML.
Just one final touch I need to add. What would be the most efficient strategy to use this setup (blue velvet in web panel) and be able to keep an easily accessible collection of notes (something vaguely similar to the original vivaldi notes). In terms of workflow as I am collecting information from web sites, it is too tedious to create and save a new file for each notes
thanks again VERY much !

@ruffles23 , for this i,ve created a folder in the document folder of Windows, where I store the created files. Because of ther format i can access them direct with Vivaldi, or open them in the BlueVelvet to edit. Becuse of this, although they are not part of Vivaldi, they are easily accessible without having to use another app.
If you have an host, include you can use BlueVelvet for creating a webpage.
Same with the other tools in the SSuite (among others,, two more writers and a spreadsheet). It's certainly one of the best page in the web, apart of this very privacy oriented. -
great suggestions. Thanks very much !

@ruffles23 , other posibility is this service (paste/share service FOSS)
https://ghostbin.comVery basic, good for text files, very easy to use. Open the web (no registration needed), paste the text you want, give it a title and eventually a password and save it. Copy then the URL which it has in the Adressbar for share or for find it again.
