Google Drive Offline Sync

I'm most likely going to use Vivaldi for some heavy education browsing and management, but things on the browser that bugs me is the lack of sync (I can wait), some incompatible extensions (I can live without), and the worst of all: not being able to use Google Drive offline. I've enabled Google Drive's offline sync and have installed its extension; it simply doesn't work. In terms of document editing, its doable on Vivaldi although the document applications on Google Drive doesn't detect that it's offline. You strictly can't browse folders offline nor can you open or edit documents unless they were open prior to going offline.
