Pushing numbers changes tabs
-
If someone could PLEASE help! All was fine, and I went to use my numbers today, (didn't matter on top or on side keypad).. each number I pushed took me to a tab. I was trying to type in a password and each time I hit a number.. I was taken to a tab. I changed nothing in my settings, I'm completely updated. Windows 10. It just started doing it!

@kathyblanchard Enable Numlock.
-
If you don’t use single-key shortcuts, you should be fine disabling them.

I had this problem on Disney+ where entering my pin would do trigger the functions associated to the corresponding shortcut and enter the digit. This might be the same.
VB-78992 Single key shortcuts triggered by pin edit fieldThe workarounds the others suggested should do the job...

@pesala I always have number lock enabled, that was the first thing I checked.. no go
-
@potmeklecbohdan how do you disable that?
-
@wildente no nothing worked
-
@kathyblanchard The default shortcuts for Switch to tab 1-9 are Ctrl+1-9. Maybe your Ctrl key is stuck down?
Clean the keyboard, try another one, reboot.
-
@kathyblanchard keyboard settings → keyboard shortcuts →
enable keyboard shortcuts →
single key shortcuts
-
@potmeklecbohdan no that didn't work
-
@pesala no, it's just on the number thing. Anything else that involves ctrl is fine
-
@pesala had to go uncheck page actions in quick commands in settings. Have 0 clue how it got checked or why.
