Email tool suggestion?
-
I'm in the process of moving to a new machine. Previously I was using Opera 12.16 for email, and expect to use Vivaldi whenever this becomes an option, in the future. In the meantime, are there definite suggestions for a light/basic/simple email tool that would be a sensible stop-gap (including compatibility with old Opera/M2 format, and likely to be compatible with whatever M3 will be able to import)? Thanks, Alan.

Thanks,
Alan. The least fraught would probably be to simply download the Opera email client (not browser, just client). It's the one I'm using right now. It will import your accounts and emails from the Opera browser. and obviously will be compatible with whatever import capabilities are the first to appear in Vivaldi when its client appears.

No. That leaves Thunderbird, unless you want to do like I have and turn on/off and rearrange options in OldeOpera to make it behave as though it were solely an email client. I did that because it's compatible with MAPI in Windows and the "new" Opera email client is not.
